All the People Win!

Today the Washington Supreme Court recognized that DNR has the authority to manage our forests in the interests of all the people. Thank you to our lawyers Wyatt Golding, Chestnut Zionzt, and Peter Goldman, Washington Forest Law Center. Commissioner of Public Lands Hilary Franz supported the decision. It is up to us now to design forest management for the 21st century and meet the challenges of climate disruption. We have more opportunity then ever before. The decision does not disrupt the past adopted Murrelet Strategy nor the Sustainable Harvest Calculation, but changes the law going forward. We have our work cut out for us to chart this path!
