Testimony on Proposed Inter-Trust Exchange Can Be Emailed or Mailed
Here’s a little more info from a letter to OFCO from Cindy Joy Neff of DNR’s Trust Land Transfer Program:
The Department of Natural Resources will hold a public hearing to provide information and receive testimony on the proposed Beausite Lake Inter-Trust Exchange. The hearing will convene at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at the Jefferson County Library, 620 Cedar Avenue, Port Hadlock, WA 98339. DNR staff will be on hand beginning at 6:00 p.m. to share information about the exchange and to take public hearing testimony. To learn more reference this PDF.
Beausite Lake Inter-Trust Exchange No. 86-090570 is an exchange of Land Trust designations only. Trust land parcels in Jefferson County, currently designated as State Forest Land Trust will be exchanged for equal valued trust parcels currently designated as Common School Trust. If approved, the inter-trust exchange will position the newly designated Common School parcels for future transfer under Trust Land Transfer Legislation to Jefferson County, to be managed for recreation, open space and wildlife habitat purposes. The newly designated State Forest Land Trust parcels will remain in state ownership and be managed for revenue to benefit the Jefferson County State Forest Land Trust.
A summary of testimony will be presented to the Board of Natural Resources. All written testimony must be received by Thursday, March 13, 2014, and addressed to DNR, Beausite Lake Inter-Trust Exchange, Attn: Bob Winslow, PO Box 47014, Olympia, WA 98504-7014. For more information, call Bob Winslow at (360) 902-1622 or visit www.dnr.wa.gov, Leasing and Land Transactions, Proposed Trust Land Exchanges.
