Wildfires and Western Forests

We are pleased to present a video by Dr. Chad Hanson, research ecologist and director of John Muir Project of Earth Island Institute in California. Special thanks to the North Olympic Group of the Sierra Club for hosting the presentation.

Dr. Hanson’s research has focused on fire ecology in conifer forest ecosystems. He is the author of the 2021 book, Smokescreen: Debunking Wildfire Myths to Save Our Forests and Our Climate. We hope you enjoy his presentation and learn from it.
